Ele Cold

Raised in Southern California , at a young age I was introduced to the art world via my fathers fine art and commercial art business. After graduated high school I left for Old Lyme Connecticut to attend the Lyme Academy College of Fine Art. Where for four years I studied the methods and techniques of traditional drawing and sculpture and even studying from human cadavers at the Yale medical school under the guidance of Yale Professor Dr. Wayne Southwick. During my time at the academy won several awards from the New York Arts Club and the National Sculpture Society. After graduating with a B.F.A. in 2003 I returned to Southern California and began work on my current body of work I call Lucky Three Legged Rabbit . My work is about the personal acceptance of self and society in the modern era; The paradox that society expects us all to be honest about ourselves to everyone but will punish us for this just as easily. The symbology of my work reflects these feelings and the psychological effect they have had on me My work is also hosted in the private collections of the Baag Collection, the Gladwell Collection (famed New England Painter) , and the Kreamer Collection (famed Art Historian and Critique)
