Joshua Abram Witten

According to Joshua Abram Witten, his art deals with "issues concerning the duality of mankind, it's relationship to the environment, and the overall human condition." Beyond that he doesn't elaborate much and that is probably intentional. "Like a fresh stack of letters," he goes on to say, "I want each image to become a subconscious hieroglyph that is able to speak without speaking thereby allowing the viewer to have their own personal experience and interpretation."

Witten's combined use of drawing, printmaking, and painting allows him to create work in a unique style that picks up where Picasso and Warhol left off while adding a contemporary graphic flare to provide his art with a definitive direction for the future. One in which hopefully, there will be no boundaries for the creative mind.
