Timothy Ross

At age eleven I determined that Leonardo Da Vinci was my hero and life's role model. To be the Renaissance man. To embody the spirit of perfect balance through the cultivation of my talents in a symmetric and humanistic manner. To become an artist, a scientist, and an athlete. To develop my mind, body and spirit equally.

I was in the sixth grade. I have been on this path a long time. I have become my goals. I have cultivated separate careers as a professional bodyboarder and martial artist, writer, illustrator, and painter, researcher, lab technician, and teacher. I have been paid for my scientific, artistic and athletic talents. I have found myself in my pursuits and achieved a perspective that is unique in today's splintered reality where specialization and self-denial are essential requirements to achieve the wealth necessary to survive the world's homicidal economic machine.

I have been very lucky. I have turned all my obstacles into trampolines upon which I jumped and sprang to the next level. At 31 years of age, 20 years later, I have not changed at all.
